The 41st Southeast Asia Seminar: “Economic Development in Laos and the Greater Mekong Region” (November 2ー7, 2017: Vientiane, Laos)

CSEAS, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National University of Laos, organized the 41st Southeast Asia Seminar in Vientiane, Laos in Nov 2ー7 2017, under the title of “Economic Development in Laos and the Greater Mekong Region”. Twenty-three young researchers from thirteen countries in the world, who were selected through international open recruitment, participated. The participants listened joined thirteen lectures in four sessions; “Key Industries for Economic Development”, “Rising Agendas on Human Capital”, “Hydropower and Mining Sector”, “Infrastructure and Development Cooperation”, “Land, Forestry, and Development”, then exchanged opinions actively. IPCR (Type VII) supported the travel expenses of nineteen participants.
